God is so good! Thank you for praying for the students. We can definitely see God at work here in the hearts and lives of these precious students. God is confronting them head on with truth from His word and they are wrestling with how to respond. Tyson, the HS Kamp pastor is hammering the students with the truth about sin and grace. Yesterday during the morning challenge he urged the students to examine the sin in their life and how to expose it. He shared a very funny story about mice. Please ask your students about it!
In Junior High, Frank began the night by making the statement that the media thinks we, as Christians hate everyone and love no one. Then he said, “Actually, the Christian that gets on my nerves the most is me.” If we are so inconsistent in what we believe, then why would anyone want to follow the Christ that we follow? Frank challenged the students to see students through the eyes of Jesus, and instead of accusing people who live differently, we need to love them and help them. Then, we had a time of response, and God moved! We had several students choose to trust Jesus as Savior. When those decisions were announced, the students went NUTS! Then we worshiped, and it was unbelievable. They were singing and praising so loud that the band just quit playing and let the students sing. It sounded like heaven! God is definitely not finished working on the hearts of these JH students, so please join us in praying for students to respond!
We are hearing good things about how God is working in their bunk groups. This is one place where we know the Lord can do the most work in them as they process all that God is speaking to them about. Continue to pray for their leaders today to have wisdom and strength to continue to lead and influence the students.
