Preschool Ministry

(Birth–Kindergarten)
Preschoolers are special at Kingsland Baptist Church! We believe that the early years of life are unparalleled in building character, love and a positive response to Christ and the church. We want to lay the foundation for spiritual growth for your child by using the finest leaders, curriculum and classroom environment. KBC teachers are committed to helping children gain an understanding of who God is.

Our Preschool Mission is "To encourage children and parents to live in fellowship with Jesus Christ." The use of Bible learning centers help reinforce the Bible story the children are learning each week. Centers are extremely valuable because children, as well as adults, remember more of what they do. An extended Bible Study curriculum plan emphasizing the same Bible Truth encourages children to attend two Bible study hours as their parents attend worship and an Adult Bible Fellowship.

Security is Top Priority
Because security is one of our top priorities, parents are asked to check-in their child at any one of our convenient check-in locations. 
Children will receive a nametag and parents will receive a security tag.  Parents must have the security tag in order to pick up their
child(ren).  First time guests can register at the Guest Check-in Center to receive their security badges.
If your child has allergies, please write what your child is allergic to on one of the bright red "Allergy Alert" stickers found on the check-in desk.
Silent pagers are also available and may be checked out at the Preschool Ministry Welcome Desks.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Sunday Night AWANA • 4:30–6 PM
AWANA teaches children to hide God's word in their hearts through a variety of activities which promote Scripture memory. For children age 4 (by Sept. 1) through 5th Grade and for age 3 yrs. (by Sept. 1) if Parents are involved in the Awana program

Wednesday Night Kid's Choir • 6:00 to 7 PM
Children 3 years old(as of Sept. 1, 2007) through 5th grade meet every week for an awesome time of fun, learning about music and worshipping God! Each year we have a Christmas program and a spring program.

Wednesday Night  TeamKID • 7:00 to 8 PM
For children 4 years (as of Sept. 1) to Kindergarten.  TeamKID is a recreation-based discipleship club where each exciting, enthusiastic meeting provides active, moving, hands-on-learning for today's kids! Children participate in special missions projects during TeamKID each year.

Parent/Baby Commitment Service
You are invited to participate in the meaningful event of dedicating your little one to the Lord. KBC Baby Dedication and parent commitment services are quarterly events. Membership is not required to take part in these services.

Kingsland's Child Enrichment Center (CEC)
CEC was begun in August 1987. This weekday Preschool is governed by a church-appointed committee and administered by Gail Chester under the direction of Children's Minister, Vicki Hoyle. Experienced, Christian staff, are dedicated to providing children 15 months–Five's Transition with a creative approach to learning through the Becca Curriculum. Click here for more information.
