Kingsland Men

The Men’s Ministry is organized around the Five Purposes of the Church. Our ministries mostly lie in the areas of Discipleship, Ministry, and Fellowship. However, everything we do has an overprint of evangelism and worship. For individuals to see how they are doing relative to their roles in the Five Purposes we have a 60 Second Spiritual Health Checkup (below) that can help you get a feel for how each Kingsland Man can do his part in helping our church carry out the five purposes.

The purpose of the Kingsland Men’s Ministry is to:
Aid Kingsland Men in their quest to become men of God, as well as Godly Husbands and Fathers

  • Provide Kingsland Men with opportunities to use their special gifts in Ministry
  • Provide special events that emphasize each man’s critical relationships with their Maker, their Mate, and their Children
  • Provide Kingsland Men with the opportunity to fellowship and have fun with other men

60 Second Men’s Spiritual Health Checkup
As a Godly man, what is your spiritual health?  Ponder each question carefully and consider how God would have you respond.

  • Do I participate in worship regularly?
  • Am I involved in a Bible Study?
  • Do I have personal time with God each day?
  • Am I using my gifts and talents in ministry?
  • Am I growing as a husband and father?
  • Do I find opportunities to have fun with other Christian men?
  • Do I share the love of Jesus Christ with others who don’t know him?

Ken's Korner

The Lord has blessed us with a great first half of 2008. We have had men meeting in small groups all over the area at various times. We call these groups "The Core." If you are looking for a group of men with which to build fellowship please email Ken Bush (bushkenneth@att.net). We also had two great studies this spring that were focused on the needs of men. We call these studies "Extreme Men" and we will have a Summer Edition.

Extreme Men - Summer Edition will feature three successful Christian Men who will share with us about "Living Your Christian Values in the Workplace." Extreme Men - Summer Edition will be at 8:30 on the last three Tuesday's in July (15th, 22nd, and 29th) in Burns 147. Our guest speakers are Craig MacPherson, Steve Knowles, and Jim Recer. I know that you will want to be there as these business leaders share from their experience.

Our big event this spring was the Couple's Ball - An Evening in Paris. It was so exciting to see so many Kingsland couple's sharing a great evening together. Our next event is the Mighty Men of God Conference. It is going to be Sunday and Monday night October 12 - 13. We know that many men have conflicts on Saturday mornings so we are trying a different format to reach as many men as possible. Get the Mighty Men of God Conference on your calendar now.
