Marriage & Family Ministries & Upcoming Events
Marriage Ministry
Married Life is the process of a man and a woman journeying together in a covenant relationship for a lifetime. Along the way, we experience the "better and for worse" of life. Pleasing God with our married life means making the journey together while honoring God and each other along the way. A Christ-centered married life is the key to healthy family life. For more information, contact Brian Haynes, Associate Pastor, at 281-492-0785 or via email: bhaynes@kingsland.org.
Marriage Mentorship
This ministry is an opportunity for a less experience couple to be matched with a more experienced couple in a casual environment to work on the issues of marriage preparation and the first years of life. For more information, contact Doug and Wendy Valot at 281.599.9353 or email: hfmentors@hotmail.com.
Altarations
Altarations is a pre-marriage conference required for all couples getting married at Kingsland. It is also open to anyone preparing for marriage. This one day event is preparation for a commitment that lasts a lifetime. Topics include expectations, intimacy, communication, and of course, covenant marriage. Join Brian Haynes and his lovely wife, Angela, for this day of preparation.
Altaration's Dates:
February 23, 2008
October 4, 2008
For more information or registration contact Carol Jones at 281-492-0785 or email: cjones@kingsland.org.
Marriage Seminars
Kingsland offers marriage classes through the Wednesday night Lifebuilder program. Is your marriage all you dreamed it would be? God's plan for believers is northing short of extraordinary. He has given us a plan to transform ordinary marriages into extraordinary ones. For more information, contact the church office at 281.492.0785 to check out our schedule for Wednesday evening Lifebuilder classes regarding marriage.
Legacy Milestones
According to Deuteronomy 6 and Psalm 78, God intended the family to be the primary vehicle for the passing on of Christian doctrine and life application to the next generation. The purpose of Legacy Milestones is to reveal a strategy for Kingsland to impact the generations through the home. The six milestones include Parent/Baby Dedication, Salvation & Baptism, Preparing for Adolescence, Commitment to Purity, Rite of Passage, and High School Graduation. For more information on how you can become involved, contact Brian Haynes at 281-492-0785 or email: bhaynes@kingsland.org or click on Legacy Milestones at www.Kingsland.org.
Women's Ministry
The heart of our Women's Ministry is to encourage each woman to know and walk with the Lord Jesus Christ so that she can be all that God wants her to be and bring Him honor and glory. This ministry offers many events during the year.
Men's Ministry
The Men's Ministry at Kingsland is designed to accomplish four purposes:
1. To aid men in their quest to become men of God, Godly husbands and fathers
2. To provide opportunities to use their special gifts in ministry
3. To provide special events that emphasize each man's relationship with his Maker, his mate, and his children
4. To provide opportunities to fellowship and have fun with other men
Upcoming events are the Couples' Ball on Saturday, March 8 and the Men's Conference on October 12-13, 2008, here at Kingsland. For more information to see how you can get involved, contact Ken Bramlett at 281.398.0454 or email: kwbramlett@aol.com.
Kingsland's quest is to love God, love people
and equip the generations one home at a time!
