Local Missions Opportunities
The people of our community matter to God and they matter to us. That is why we are committed to going beyond our campus to serve, care for, and connect with the people who live around us. Every year, more than 3,000 Kingsland volunteers participate in initiatives that touch the lives of the people who live closest to us — from
Katy to the surrounding communities to Houston’s inner-city wards. We also have strategic partnerships and alliances with local ministries that have permanence and a proven track record of service to the people of our community. We invite you to participate in any of our local initiatives. Check our
Missions Initiatives page for the latest information on where we are serving.
Our local initiatives include…
Saturday Initiatives | Our Student and Adult Bible Fellowship
groups serve our community on Saturdays throughout the year. We
encourage participation of all family members and provide
age-appropriate projects for children. We want for Kingsland kids and
their parents to make wonderful memories together by serving others.
Caring for Katy | Every year we close to the doors to the church on a Sunday in March and lead the people of Kingsland to be the church throughout
Katy. Our volunteers bless individuals, families, local churches, and ministries in
Katy. We invest an average of $100,000.00 in blessing the people of our community through practical acts of service on our Caring for
Katy Sunday.
Assistance Ministries | We are grateful for the opportunity to support and to mobilize volunteers to serve the following local ministries.
Alpha House | A Christian residential program located in Montrose for those in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse.
Brookwood Community | A ministry that provides an educational environment that
creates meaningful jobs,
builds a sense of belonging, and demands dignity and respect for
adults with special needs.
Generation One | Reaching out to grade school kids in Houston's
Third Ward.
Katy Christian Ministries | Food pantry, resale shops, social services,
