Starting down the path of Legacy Milestones with your family can be a daunting task.  We can aid you by suggesting tools such as seminars and resources for all appropriate milestones to help you get started.

How do I start down the path of Legacy Milestones?

Begin by assessing where your family currently is on the path. If you are at the very beginning start there; if you have a 5th grader and a junior, start at the age appropriate milestones. Start at the natural milestones. Don’t try to start at the beginning with older kids.

Secondly, attend a Parent Summit. They are offered twice a year on campus. In one day you can attend seminars and get the information and resources needed to begin legacy milestones.

What seminars should I take first?

Everyone should take the two entry level seminars:
• How to Have a Family Devotion
• Understanding and Practicing Spiritual Milestones
These seminars will provide the basic tools necessary for having an effective, age- appropriate family devotion geared toward the next legacy milestone.


Where do I get all the resources I need for practicing these milestones?

Check out our Legacy Milestone Resource section of the web page. The resources are categorized by Milestone. You can purchase them a number of ways. They will be available for purchase at each seminar. You can go to Amazon.com and order them yourself. In the near future Kingsland will develop a “Legacy Resource Center” on campus so that you can purchase resources any time you are on campus. You will need to get the resources associated with the milestone you are working toward. This will help you develop family devotions and will prepare you for training your child.

How does Kingsland partner with me in this process?

We will host 2 Parent Summits per year designed to train you to be the primary faith trainer in your child’s life. We will design our ministry events for your children to compliment what you are doing at home. We will increase the level of biblical teaching in our adult ministry to better prepare you in your own biblical understanding. We will integrate our curriculum choice for Bible Study so that parents and students are on the same page biblically. We will resource you and equip you to do all of this. You will not be alone in the process.
