Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to encourage fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. By working the steps and applying their Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually, and eventually become free from our hurts, hang-ups and habits. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with Jesus Christ and others.
The Bible states, "All have sinned". This means each of us needs repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended. The good news is this: regardless of the problem you need recovery from, whether it's emotional, financial, relational, spiritual, sexual or whatever, the steps to recovery are always the same.
Celebrate Recovery is a Biblical program based on 8 principles that Christ taught in His message from the Sermon on the Mount. There are only two things needed for someone to start recovery, a desire to stop living in the past and a desire to start living in the truth. Our focus is on spiritual progress as opposed to perfection, and as we work through the Christ-based 12 steps, we become willing to accept God's grace and forgiveness in solving our life's problems.
In Celebrate Recovery our identities are not in our past behaviors. We are believers recovering in Christ who struggle with past hurts and habits. The program is short term, lasting one to two years, depending on the individual. We cannot keep what we have unless we give it away therefore, the ultimate goal is to produce purpose driven disciples that take the message of recovery in Christ to those who still suffer.
