Our purpose is to model a Christ-led life before the family of believers at Kingsland and our community. We will strive to do this through sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, mentoring and teaching, serving with the various ministries, regular worship attendance, and enjoying fellowship with each other. To this end, we are committed to weekly Bible study to equip ourselves for this life of service.
Adult Opportunities
Exercise Class
The exercise class meets every Wednesday at 8:45 AM for 45 minutes of exercise led by Christy Kennedy. This is a great time to enjoy like-minded folks who are strengthening and conditioning their body for the long haul. Regardless of your present condition, Christy will help you improve while making the exercise fun and beneficial. Call Mike Kelley at the church office for more information at 281.492.0785.
Monthly Luncheon
February 13, 12:00 PM in Fellowship Hall
Please join us for our monthly luncheon. The program is Classic Jazz with Pat Austin. Kingsland member, Vicki Knowles, is a member of the group. Chef Ema has selected Sandwich Wraps (Ham, Turkey & Beef), Chips, Fresh Fruit Cocktail Cup, Fresh Baked Cookies.

Game Day
Meet with us every Wednesday in the Crawford Hall from 10 AM to 1 PM as we fellowship around the table playing "Chicken Foot", Scrabble or cards. Bring a sack lunch (drinks provided) and we will eat together. For more information contact Mike Kelley in the Church Office.
Adult 55+ Spring Retreat - April 23-25, 2012
Begin now planning to be part of the Adult 55+ Spring Retreat at Jordan Ranch near Schulenburg on April 23-25, 2012. Jordan Ranch is only 80 miles west of Katy and provides the perfect venue to host our Spring Retreat. We will begin early Monday as we travel by motorcoach from Kingsland to Schulenburg, and there begin the Painted Churches guided tour. During the tour we will have lunch at an area restaurant. After lunch we will complete the Painted Churches tour, and arrive at Jordan Ranch in time to check-in and scout out the beautiful facilities before dinner. After dinner and a short time of worship, the evening will be finished playing games, sharing stories or just “hanging out.” Once you’re tuckered out you’ll find your room in the beautiful residential hall to be a relaxing environment for the night’s rest. Tuesday morning after a filling breakfast we’ll be ready for some serious “Writing My Life Story” time. Our instructor will guide us as we write the life story we want to share with our children and grandchildren. We’ll break for lunch and then finish as much of our story as possible by early afternoon. After dinner we’ll have another evening of fun and games. Wednesday morning we’ll have breakfast and check out. We will board our motorcoach to begin the Schulenburg Area Museums tour, and break for lunch at another area restaurant. Our motorcoach will deliver us back to Kingsland by late afternoon to complete three fun and exciting days of fellowship, education, writing our legacy, and making great memories.
The cost of $330.00 (per person, double occupancy) includes lodging, transportation, all meals, both tours, and “Writing My Life Story” class and workbook. Contact Mike Kelley for more information.
